lyrics Wildflower Way I went for a drive, down by the lake To see what I could see. And it looked nothing like It did before When I went a year previously. There were houses and stores And a gas well or three Where before had been lone prairie.. Now there's a tumor growin', a blight on the land As far as eyes can see. Now the prairie dog and songbird and the buffalo Have all but gone away Will there be nothing left for my kids to enjoy When they walk down the Wildflower Way.. Somewhere out in that grassy field Is a rock wall built by Texas slaves And over that hill is a burial ground With pioneer family graves. And I wish I could go back in time and live In that old farm house on the hill.. Will you tear it down and pave it over To build us a road To the almighty dollar bill Now the prairie dog and the songbird and the buffalo Have all but gone away Will there be nothing left for my kids to remember When they walk down the Wildflower Way.. ©2014 Kavin Allenson

about

A collection of old dreams, experiences and stories that made themselves into songs, or music without words in a couple of cases.

You can pay to download the album all together, or just individual tracks for pay what you want, even free ( I encourage this), except for Wildflower Way, which is a fundraiser for prairie conservation and restoration. Thank you.
